We tell you both the good and the bad news - nowhere's absolutely perfect not (unfortunately) even Vera Playa!

2001 News:

Storm causes damage at Vera Playa:Storm damage to Vera Playa Club's indoor pool
The edge of the same weather system which caused many deaths and catastrophic damage to the North African coast gave bad weather and heavy rain to south-east Spain. On November 11/12th very heavy seas damaged the indoor swimming pool at the Hotel Vera Playa Club (which is practically on the beach - great in summer!). The sea broke in to the covered pool and deposited sand in the pool and across the hotel's outdoor dining and beach sun-bathing terraces. Slight damage was also caused to the Vera Natura beach restaurant. December, which normally has daytime highs of 22 degrees, was cold, cloudy and wet - conditions not previously experienced in the last 20 years or more. Hopefully 2002's weather will be back to Vera Playa's norm.
